There are some golden rules to follow in order to receive the maximum benefits from the Turkish bath.
Please make sure to take a shower before you enter the Sauna, the Turkish bath or the hot water pool for hygenic reasons
First of all, the Turkish bath route must be performed by completing a cycle of activities between a steam bath, a cold shower and a window of time to relax. It is ideal to start with a session in the steam bath for no more than 20 minutes, during which it is advisable to remain seated or semi-lying. The period of stay can be shortened with any first signs of an increase or decrease in blood pressure. After the Turkish bath, the body should be invigorated with a quick cold shower, which helps tone the tissues and rebalance the body after subjecting it to high temperatures and high humidity. We recomend you taking the shower hose and slowly and gradually allow cold water to coole down your body from groud up, starting with your feet, shinbones, knees, thighs, hips, chest, sholders, arms, hands and face. Instead of shocking your system with a sudden temperature change, you receive the maximum benefit of this gentle procedure. You can do this while standing, leaning over or squatting down to avoid getting dizzy or light-headed. This is followed by 10-15 minutes of relaxation on the chaise lounge with a cup of tea, wrapped up in your bathrobe before repeating the second session followed again by a fresh shower. You can also add some relaxing time in the hot water pool with the hydromassage.
To further amplify the benefits of the Turkish bath, it is possible to combine the effects of steam with chromotherapy and aromatherapy. The addition of essential oils and the action of colours act on the body and mind with a triple regenerating, invigorating and relaxing effect.
Although it has indisputable benefits, the Turkish bath is not recommended for everyone. Especially those suffering from cardiovascular disorders, too high or too low blood pressure, kidney or heart problems, should avoid the Turkish bath or at least undergo a medical check-up before undergoing wellness treatment.
While it is true that high temperatures and humidity exert beneficial effects on the body, on the other hand, the most sensitive people may experience sudden changes in pressure, which can result in dizziness and sensation of pulsating temples.
Even strong sweating from the steam bath, which is beneficial for eliminating impurities and toxins from the body, if not controlled, can lead to some dehydration effects. This is why it is always recommended to replenish liquids after a session in the Turkish bath by drinking water, fruit juice or herbal teas.
Despite these contraindications, the Turkish bath is still a safe, natural wellness treatment that is really able to guarantee long-term effects, especially if the steam baths are repeated over time. A frequency of 2 sessions per week is the golden rule that allows you to enjoy all the beneficial effects of the Turkish bath. With everything for the well-being of the body, mind and person.
